Founder and Managing Director
TOM SCOTT grew up in rural Dorset and returned having obtained a Master’s Degree in Engineering Design at the University of Bath, and subsequently spending time working in finance in The City.
After working for a property developer specialising in the conversion and refurbishment of old buildings, he joined a highly respected national firm of chartered surveyors, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and studying for a second Master’s Degree in Property Development and Planning.
Before establishing Woodforde Scott, Tom jointly ran a company in Bath undertaking restoration and renovation work at some of the city’s most prestigious addresses. He has travelled and worked extensively in developing countries pursuing his interest in sustainable development.
Tom is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of The Chartered Institute of Building, an affiliate member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, a qualified practitioner of the PRINCE2 project management method, and he holds RICS accreditations in property finance and investment and in historic building conservation.
Associate - Project Management
CHRIS DERKSEN joined the Woodforde Scott project management team in January of 2021. He works closely with contractors and clients to ensure that projects run smoothly and on time.
Chris recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth with an MSc in Real Estate Management and is working towards becoming a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Chris grew up in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. With an Honours Business degree at the University of Wilfrid Laurier. Previously, Chris had a successful career as a chef where he worked through the ranks of the kitchen brigade to Executive Sous Chef working in many fine-dining restaurants.
He lives with his wife and two children in Dorset and enjoys running and being outdoors with the family.
ASSOCIATE - OFFICE MANAGEMENT
STEPHANIE PRIEST joined the team in February 2021 and provides administrative support in the office.
Having completed a degree in Management and Leisure at the University of Manchester and a graduate diploma in law, Stephanie went on to work for various London based Private Equity firms in administration and investor relations roles. She then moved to Wiltshire in 2016 to oversee the build of her own family home and bring up her two young children.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys keeping fit, spending time with her family and two Gordon Setters on their farm and working on continual home improvement and garden projects.
